We are having a school that works with challenges. Challenges within the personal space, the business space, the world, the local community, the universe… The story:
In the year 2015>>> - “The KaosPilot is a melting pot of different perspectives interacting with each other and the world. We embody the people from different cultures who have the passion for change and the willingness to understand each other. There is a high level of engagement in the public debate and each individual student has a responsibility to act in the public debate and openly take a stand in current events. The KaosPilot have one big home base where all the students are the first year to gain a shared understanding of what the KaosPilot is to them and what is should be to the world. There are many satellites all over the world where the students, with great flexibility, can travel to when desired. The education relies on the student ability to take choices with regards to what the individual student need. The content and form is based on varying perspectives, namely Students choose for themselves both knowledge and experiences .Thereby the education becomes individual as well as personal, instead of a centralised package you as student just receive. The student passes out being a shape shifter having the ability to navigate the turbulent changes our world under goes day to day .To be and enjoy change.
- We don’t know what the future holds but its for sure needs KAOSPILOTS
Answer to the Q's
Who; why and how are we attracting the students for the team 21? And what does it require to get in? - Who? – The marginalised students and persons as well as the centralized. So that the admitted group of students are not all marginalised and their by in the reality they create with each other becomes the centralized viewpoint. - Why? – Because there is a importance in not agreeing. The students should not be admitted to agree, but to create a difference in mindset that will create tension in the debates. They do not need to agree but be willing to understand each other. - How? – creating a second life community that is the school. You as applicant can inter the universe and then walk around the school talking to who you wants to. When grapping a person you will enter their personal blog; where they write their projects and notes from classes etc. all that are a connection between the person and the education is on the students personal blogs. Their by the applicant have the chance to go into the universe and grip a person similar to them self. The students keep being marginalised; instead of making a centralized webpage… (Web 3,0). You as a student create a social contract with your team/school to take part in the public debate of different challenges in the society and to share this openly. This can be done like: blogs, newspaper writer, artist, etc.
- What does it require to get in? – You as an applicant need to show examples that you are an active part of the debate in your community. You are an active part of society! The media for this is not fixed, you can choose what you want and then explain why this choice…
What is the form and content of the KaosPilot program here in year 2015? - One homebase - 1st year people meet each other / Teambuilding creating the culture - Outposts all over the world - Being aware of the newest trends - Students can choose for themselves both knowledge and experiences - Flexibility to participate and share knowledge. - The outposts are individual organizations making money for themselves. Think global, act local. - The period is not definite, you can choose for yourself how long the education will take. - You will decide if the lessons fits into your life (i.e. ProActive planning) - 1st year creating a culture and getting schools. Thereby having only 3 projects. The media should tell about what’s going on. Fewer projects but longer duration (NGO, Public and Private). You should complete the project. - The difference between going with the corporate life and challenging them. – Still change the frames and challenge the client, but keep in mind that you live a whole solution instead of baling in the middle. It needs to be sustainable! In relation to this making/creating a new culture around documentation, so we can work on each other instead of after each other. - Developing new methods, using new methods and new/upfront theory (i.e. not getting stuck in Medici effect)
What do Team 18 know in 2018. Where are they graduating and where are they heading? - Shape shifters, with potential and a strong opinion. - They have the tools to navigate in change - They have a good gut feeling about something good - They know their full individual potential - From the schools viewpoint its more facilitating a personal process than guiding. - Making projects on the edge, knowledge to present it at the mainstream, so they are able to make projects at the edge.
The KaosPilot 2015… our notes…
How does the school look like? Camilla: International 70% not Danish Every room had a international theme Recycling everything!!! Lunch deal with Svineriet Focus on global worming All projects had focus on sustainability We was in the face of choosing our own clients, as well as location for outpost The building next door was a hostel. Espen: A school that had new words and perspectives on buzzwords like teorisem. A school that was open for all, also segments of populations that ex. was freedom fighters. Jonas: The building was a sky cheaper, a strict environment but the floor with the KaosPilot was hippie like now. So that we interacted with the real word and their straightness. More work with design, this room for brainstorm etc. the rooms are made with a purpose. More ambuissious and passionate about their projects. Walking the walk more than now. Not just talking about it… More content that form. Alex: Four years instead of three. All school has one home base and then have outposts all over the world. One centre and then reaching out into the world. Anders: Compassioned revolution! We are located in the harbour and have two floors. A bigger diversity of culture More carouse More revolutions Smaller projects for the street level and the community. Taking a step back, fighting for the basic. Look at the facts and work from them A mix between punks and suits. People for the world and with all colours… Learn civil disobedience. A course in gorilla peace fair. Torben: Move out of Denmark into a factory in Berlin The leading institution for leaders in the world. Makes research about how to lead companies in the world. The final exam was making big changes in the world and was out there in the world!!! Public. A leadership lab. Research in management models. Sara: More focus on getting the students to experience their own full potential and feeling the power of this and them self as individuals. It makes a difference that I am doing this instead of the others. The education takes 4 years instead of 3; giving more time to reflect and take in the knowledge and make it into learning. A change in learning forums, individual and collectively More theory and theory lectures. Practise is good, but becomes better if you have something to test! Abdul: Different mix of nations. People from all over… More female representation; 8:1. A big focus on small and very grounded projected. You clean in front of your own door and then your neighbours. Concentrated on the minorities in Denmark. And making it a governmental issue. Put it into governmental changes… Let’s make a sustainable impacted All projects should make a permanent change… Going deeper into the problems in Denmark instead of the focus on just getting out of the country. Not go into something very deep and then just leave… MAKING AN INPOST BEFORE AN OUTPOST!
General talk: - The importance of taking the thing through the end… - Still have the mentality to just go in and do stuff. The dilemma between student and business. - With respect goes responsibility. Finish the project or at least rep it up properly… - Not burning bridges but creating connections… - Challenges…
