Hello!
This page is primarily designed for Kaospilots. If you for some reason want to know my background, check out my profile or my /CurriculumVitae
You can follow my web interests on delicious and I'm also exploring Twitter: @EspenSivertsen
At the moment, I'm currently working as a Team Leader with the KaosPilots, having previously been a project manager/facilitator/curator of future artefacts at Innovation Lab in Århus, DK. More about this and what we do here
Outside of work, my present focus is organising and understanding how multpiple realities play into process facilitation, and how different actions, tools and design frameworks subtly (and radically) alter dialogue outcomes. For instance, you can learn a lot about my present world view from the previous sentence.
I have other interests as well, including Rapid Userdriven Innovation, cognitive embodiment from a management perspective, self-organising systems, open source communities and licensing models, the theory-action gap, visual navigation, Fuzzy Logic, integration of sensory processing, the effects of technology on everyday life, non-verbal communication and conflict resoultion.
However, most aspects of psychology, sociology, business (particularly 4th sector cases), physics and mathematics interest me.
If you have or know of any people, projects, links or papers you think might interest me, or have any questions you would like to ask, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
A couple of past projects I did for fun:
Summer 09 I made the first prototype for /QuackAttack - a floating duck with electric motor you can use to joust with.
Based on the ideas of a friend, Søren, and this site I made some /MossGraffiti
Although it's been on hold for a while, Lee Braiden and I worked on a project we started in 2004 while I was an intern for the Nonviolent Peaceforce setting up a wiki hybrid online data base at PeaceForge . The goal is to create a forum where all peace stakeholders can meet, share best practice, and discuss future strategies.
The wiki format our project group is working on making is useful, because it can be applied to other types of information, such as a a World Science Community: /WorldScienceCommunity
Jo, Jacquie, Peter have been keen on studying Humiliation in Refugees /RefugeeHumiliationStudy. We are currently looking for sponsors.
Julie, Rasmus and myself worked on a GroupProject back in our second semester at the KaosPilots (2005) in which we came up with the idea of placing a food coach (Danish: Mad Coach) in Danish supermarkets. We did a pilot project with ISO, a Copenhagen based supermarket chain, and it was a success. We received favourable feedback from customers, staff, management, and the food coaches themselves. Our media coverage reached out to approximately 4,5% of the Danish population, and ISO is planning to implement a version of our project in all 12 of their stores.
