Business Design books

(written in alphabetical order)

Adams, Scott: The Dilbert Principle. -- Tells from the eyes of the maker of the world-famous character Dilbert how businesses should not in any way be run. It is witty and actually has a lot of points that can be used, especially in larger organizations.

Gerber, Michael: The E-myth - why most small businesses don't work, and what to do about it. -- Gives a good insight into traditional structuring of businesses built for growth and success. If you can manage to disregard the storytelling, this book will provide you with a great insight into how a good foundation for most kinds of businesses can be created.

Morita, Akio: Made in Japan. The story about the unlikely success of Sony, and the struggle of its founders to develop what would end up as the walkman. Great inspiration for the entrepreneur, with stories of temporary defeats, hard, unrewarding work, but a determined move towards the final tremendous success.

Kiyosaki, Robert: Rich Dad, poor Dad - what the rich tell their children about money that the poor and middle class doesn't. -- Tells the inspiring story about young Robert's two fathers, one rich and one poor, and how the life-attitude and story of them made him who he is today. It gives a lot of inspiring input for the hopeful entrepreneur, and reveals a lot of the things the entrepreneur should know about. Less concrete than the E-myth, but with much more good old American enthusiasm.
